Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) Overview


Dysmorphic Disorder is a type of chronic mental illness in which you can not stop thinking about a defect in their appearance - a defect that is a minor or imagined. But for you, so embarrassing appearance seems unwilling to be seen by anyone. Dysmorphic disorder has sometimes been called "imagined ugliness".

Once you have body dysmorphic disorder, you are intensely obsessed with your appearance and body image, often for many hours a day. You can visit many cosmetic procedures to try to "fix" your mistakes seen, but will never be filled. Dysmorphic disorder is also known as dysmorphic disorder, the fear of having a malformation.

Body dysmorphic disorder treatment may include medications and cognitive behavioral therapy.
