Prevention Of Bipolar Disorder (BD)

Nothing is known to prevent bipolar disorder. It is best to avoid drugs that may trigger the disease (such as cocaine or methamphetamine). Adopt a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise and sleep can help.

Relapses can be prevented or made less severe, following the treatment recommendations of their health care providers. This includes taking the medication as directed and attend counseling sessions.
