Prevention Of Bedwetting

Here are the changes you can do at home that can help:

Limit fluid intake at night. Limit fluid intake for your child during the night. Approximately 8 ounces (one quarter) and then the evening is enough, but check with your doctor about what is right for your child. No need to limit fluid intake of your child, but some experts believe that a good rule of thumb is that children are 40 percent of their liquids between 7 am and noon, another 40 percent between noon and 17 hours and 20 percent of their daily fluids after 17 hours, however, do not limit the liquids if your child participates in sports or games at night.

Avoid foods and drinks containing caffeine in the evening. Caffeine may increase the need to urinate, so do not let your child drinks such as coke, or snacks that have caffeine, like chocolate in the evening.

Encourage urination twice before going to bed. Emptying is urinating at the beginning of the routine twice to go to sleep, and then again just before falling asleep. Remind your child that it's okay to go to the bathroom during the night if necessary. Use a small night lights so that the child can easily find the road between the bedroom and bathroom.

Encourage regular urination during the day. During the day and at night, suggest that your child to urinate every two hours, or at least enough to avoid a sense of urgency.

To treat constipation. If constipation is a problem for your child, your doctor may recommend over-the-counter laxative.
