Causes Of Andropause

The decrease in testosterone is an important factor for men suspected of having andropause. As men age, not only in the body start making less testosterone, but also the levels of another hormone, sex hormone globulin (SHBG), which pulls the available testosterone in the blood, begins to increase. SHBG binds some of the available testosterone in the blood. Testosterone, which is not bound to SHBG hormone called bioavailable testosterone, which means it is available for the body.

Men who suffer symptoms associated with andropause have bioavailable testosterone levels in their blood. Therefore, the tissues of the body that are stimulated by testosterone receive a lower amount, which can cause psychological and sometimes physical changes such as mood swings or fatigue.
