Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD/ADD) Overview


Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD) is a chronic disease that affects millions of children and often persists into adulthood. ADHD includes a variety of different problems such as difficulty sustaining attention to behavior, hyperactivity and impulsivity. Children with ADHD may also struggle with low self-esteem, dysfunctional relationships and poor school performance.

Although treatment does not cure ADHD, it can help a lot with the symptoms. Treatment usually involves medication and behavioral interventions.

The diagnosis of ADHD can be daunting, and the symptoms can be a challenge for parents and children. However, treatment can make a big difference, and most children with ADHD grow up to be the normal adults
